'THE MARIETTAS' Premiere and the return of 'THE TELEPHONE EXCHANGE'

The Five Lamps Theatre Company invites you to 'The Mariettas', an exciting new comedy by Niamh Gleeson, in Dublin's Smock Alley Theatre.
The Marietta Showband is dreamed up while Bernie Brady works on the biscuit factory line in 1968. She drums up four other young ones and they attempt to burst onto the Dublin showband scene. They have an inauspicious beginning in Father Finian's Parish Hall. Will the unreliable musicians turn up? Will Assumpta's gippy tummy get the better of her? Can 'The Mariettas' get the crowds on the dance floor? Charming and quirky, 'The Mariettas' is a trip down memory lane and Hucklebuck shoes are compulsory! 'The Mariettas' stars Stephanie Behan, Andrea Cleary, Danielle Dormer, Jennifer Meade and Emma Reinhardt.
'The Mariettas' is premiering in Dublin's Smock Alley and runs from Monday November 17th to Thursday 20th at 8pm, with a Saturday Matinee November 22nd at 2pm.
The Five Lamps Theatre Company is also pleased to present its highly successful comedy, 'The Telephone Exchange', also written by Niamh Gleeson, on Friday November 21st and Saturday 22nd at 8pm in Smock Alley.
'The Telephone Exchange' has toured over 15 venues across Ireland since its initial Dublin run in July 2007. 'The Telephone Exchange' is an intimate and hilarious look at the lives of four very different telephone operators in Dublin in 1963 who are united by their passion for J.F.K. The cast of 'The Telephone Exchange' are Stephanie Behan, Cliona Cassidy, Martina Nulty and Emma Reinhardt.
