The Gaiety School Of Acting has been offering Young Gaiety workshops in Bray since October 2002, and, now in it's 6th year, is still going strong!  We now offer 2 different levels of class, the Drama Workshop and the Performance Workshop, for students aged between 7 and 13, and our ever popular Youth Theatre Workshop for 14-18 year olds.

The classes take place in The Mermaid Arts Centre, ideally located on Main St. Amongst the excellent facilities are a gallery upstairs and a cafe conveniently located on the ground floor where parents can have a coffee or even enjoy a delicious lunch while waiting for their children to finish class.

Bray Young Gaiety Saturday School

The Young Gaiety Saturday School is the most comprehensive acting course available to young actors in Ireland. The yearlong programme consists of 3 ten-week terms. The structure of the courses is both flexible and comprehensive, allowing students to participate in anything from a 10-week course to a 3-year cycle.

Drama Workshop

Have fun, learn drama skills, meet new friends, gain confidence and expand your imagination. These lively group workshops develop teamwork and improvisation techniques, culminating in a devised showcase at the end of term 3. This course is ideal for students who are only beginning to study drama and who want to build their confidence and creativity.

Performance Workshop

Learn the mechanics of acting. In the Performance Workshop students develop voice, movement, characterisation, improvisation, ensemble and devising skills. Each term, a specific performance skill will be introduced such as dance, singing, mime or puppetry. This course is ideal for those students who are serious about developing their acting skills.
