Be very selective about what you pack. The old adage is to fold and lay out everything you think you will need and then pack half of that! It is good advice considering you can do laundry and will have limited storage space in your dorm. Also keep in mind you may buy more clothes etc while abroad! Also don't forget that you have to carry your own luggage, and that you will be sharing a room with up to 5 other people who will each have their own luggage, so please bring the smallest/neatest suitcase possible so it too can be easily stored when not in use.
In terms of clothing, Dublin's weather is unpredictable and often wet even in the height of summer. We suggest you pack plenty of light layers as it is unlikely to be too cold (15-25 degrees Celsius is average summer weather), a rain coat and definitely a small umbrella. You will be doing a lot of walking so leave the stilettos at home and concentrate on packing shoes comfortable for walking in. It may be wet underfoot too so consider this when packing your footwear. Have a look at www.met.ie (the Irish Meteorological Service) for climate and weather information. Make sure to pack warm sleepwear too.
Dublin is a very casual city so jeans and shirts is standard even for theatre and most restaurants. Many nightclubs have policies for example no trainers, no sports club shirts, smart dress etc.
In terms of what you are doing in class, we ask you to wear black trousers and top that are comfortable and easy to move in. There should not be any large logos printed on them. You do not need dance shoes but should wear soft soled shoes to class.
You do not need to bring bed linen for the hostel but DO bring your own towels.
