Summer Courses
The Gaiety School of Acting, Ireland's Premier Drama School, is delighted to introduce you to our Summer 2008 programme. There's something for everyone in our packed line-up of exciting new courses, so no matter what your age, have a read through this brochure; you might just find something you like!
We'll be kicking off the summer with a visit to the mythical world of Tale Town, where each student will create their own character, who will join us for the adventure of a lifetime. Each Friday afternoon for 3 weeks, Meeting House Square will be transformed into Tale Town for the outdoor end-of-week extravaganza.
I am also happy to announce that we will be embarking on a totally new project this summer - the delivery of drama courses through the Irish language. We are at a time where more and more Irish people recognise the importance of the Irish language within Irish culture, and wish to find new areas in which it can be used. As such, we have developed this brand new course for 7 to 13 year olds, where they can speak and improve their Irish in a creative, fun environment.
There are lots more courses to choose from, including our ever popular Young Gaiety Summer Camps, which will be running in venues around the country, the Footloose Song & Dance Workshop and Make a Movie.
There's also a whole host of courses for our adult students, including weekend workshops in Audition Technique, Improvisation and more!

Adult Theatre Company Cork
Mature students are invited to join our Adult Theatre Company. Over the course of this week long course the group will work with a professional theatre practitioner on a chosen text. At the end of the week there will be a performance of the play. The Company is perfect for those who have acting skills and would like to explore their potential further in a concentrated training and rehearsal atmosphere.
