The Active Drama Group
Open to students 55+ these workshops will focus on drama techniques, developing skills through improvisation, devising, storytelling and working with text. All skill levels and backgrounds are welcome to join with no previous experience necessary with an emphasis on spending a fun day with other like minded people.
Participants of the Active Drama course can expect to:
- Learn the basic skills of performance and stage craft.
- Find alternative and effective ways of presenting and telling stories.
- The work includes devising, creating pieces based in both truth and fiction and working with text.
- A chance to revisit a passion you once had for theatre and performing or a chance to explore something you always wanted to do.
- A place to meet new friends and enjoy sharing thoughts and ideas.
- A day for oneself to relax and have a laugh!
