The Stage Combat Workshop
STAGE COMBAT
This is an intensive weekend learning the challenging craft of stage combat. This course will cover important safety skills for the use in stage and screen combat. For each system the emphasis is on the theatrical presentation of the techniques. This is a practical course, with students first observing and then participating in the techniques and exercises, while being closely watched by a qualified instructor.
Participants of the Stage Combat Masterclass can expect to:
- Learn the basic skills of unarmed combat
- Learn the basic skill of rapier and dagger combat
- Understand the mechanics of a fight scene
- Learn important safety factors necessary for fight scenes
- Learn how to build dramatic tension with use of fight scenes
